Parcel Tycoon Special Cargo: Glass, Heavy Loads and Live Pets
The three special cargo classes in Parcel Tycoon — glass, heavy loads and live pets — and the handling change each one actually requires before you ship.
Parcel Tycoon names exactly three special cargo classes, and all three sit in one official feature line: "HANDLE WITH CARE: sort for glass, heavy loads, even build habitats for LIVE pets in their own carriers." So the fastest way to check whether your next order needs more than an ordinary pack is to look for those three things: fragile glass, a heavy load, or a live pet. Each one changes a different stage of the job — glass changes how you pack, heavy loads change sorting, and live pets skip ordinary packing entirely.
The three special cargo classes at a glance
| Cargo class | How you recognize it | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| Glass (fragile) | Fragile goods in the order — one player knew a parcel was "going to be fragile and heavy" before packing it | Fragile items get wrapped as a built-in packing step, then the box is taped and stamped as usual |
| Heavy loads | The weight — it is directly felt while carrying ("Oh, you're heavy") | It is its own sorting category; the game's description states no extra protection step for it |
| Live pets (LIVE) | The order asks you to ship a live pet | Build a habitat inside the pet's own carrier instead of the ordinary box-and-wrap routine |
Everything outside these three classes follows the normal routine covered in the Parcel Tycoon packing guide.
Glass and fragile handling
Wrapping fragile items is part of Parcel Tycoon's official packing sequence, not a separate minigame: "drag every item in, turn it, tip it, wrap the fragile ones, fill the gaps, tape it shut and stamp it right." The wrap sits between positioning the items and filling the gaps, so a glass order changes the middle of your pack rather than adding a new chore at the end.
That step is also demonstrated in play. In one let's play, the player applies bubble wrap to a parcel they already know is fragile ("Save the bottom obviously. Bubble wrap."), then flips the box, closes it up and tapes the seam — the same sequence the description lays out, ending in the usual tape-and-stamp finish. The button-level details of wrapping live on the wrap fragile items page; here, the takeaway is simpler: if the order contains glass or other fragile goods, the wrap is the confirmed special check.
One thing the available footage never shows is what happens when fragile cargo is handled badly — there is no documented breakage outcome or pay penalty to plan around. The confirmed special step for glass is the wrap; anything beyond that is guesswork.
Heavy-load considerations
Heavy loads are the second sorting target in the HANDLE WITH CARE line — "sort for glass, heavy loads" — which makes a heavy parcel special at the sorting stage rather than through an extra protection step. In play, the weight itself is the recognition cue: while carrying one parcel, the same player remarks, "Oh, you're heavy." You do not need to inspect anything; if the parcel feels heavy on the way to dispatch, it belongs to the heavy category.
Heavy and fragile can stack on the same order. The player in that session plans around exactly that combination — "I know it's going to be fragile and heavy" — so a heavy parcel may still need the wrap if its contents are fragile.
What the sources do not establish is any number or requirement attached to the category: no weight threshold, no required equipment, and no confirmed effect on how you move. A "heavy" mark is audible among the stamps read out around one parcel (more on marking below), but whether a heavy order must carry a heavy stamp to pass is not documented either. Treat the felt weight as your cue and sort it as its own category.
Live animals and their carriers
Live pets have the most distinct rule of the three: instead of the ordinary box-and-wrap routine, the game tells you to "build habitats for LIVE pets in their own carriers." A pet order is therefore not packed like goods at all — the carrier itself is the container, and the habitat goes inside it.
This rule comes from the developer's description, and the captured gameplay never actually shows a habitat being built, so how the build is unlocked or what it costs is unknown. The full assembly walkthrough belongs on the live pet shipments page — on this page, the identification rule is what matters: a LIVE pet in the order means habitat-in-carrier, not ordinary packing.
What is not a special cargo class
Every pack in Parcel Tycoon — special or ordinary — ends the same way: "tape it shut and stamp it right." Stamping is part of that normal finish, and the choice of stamp visibly follows the contents: in the let's play, the player puts a "dry" stamp on a parcel "cuz there's a cup in there," and "heavy" comes up among the marks read out around another parcel. A "liquid" mark is also audible in that rundown, but only through garbled auto-captions. These stamp labels are part of ordinary marking, not extra cargo classes with their own handling checks, and the footage is not clear enough to confirm the complete stamp set — so do not treat a "liquid" or "dry" order as a fourth special category.
Legendary orders bring star items, but the description attaches no handling requirement to them — "luck brings legendary orders with star items" is about order rarity, not packing. Star items are covered on the star items page.
The check to run on your next order
When an order lands, run it against the three classes before you start packing: glass or fragile goods means plan a wrap; a heavy load means expect to feel the weight and sort it as its own category; a LIVE pet means build the habitat in its own carrier instead of boxing it. If none of the three appear, pack, tape and stamp it like any ordinary parcel.
