Parcel Tycoon Packing Guide: From Order to Shipped Parcel
A step-by-step Parcel Tycoon packing walkthrough: from the printed order and empty box to tape, stamps and the dispatch drop-off that ships your parcel — plus where to look when a step won't come together.
Packing in Parcel Tycoon is one physical loop that repeats for every customer: grab an order from the printer, prepare a box at your packing table, load and protect the items, seal and mark the parcel, then hand it over at the dispatch drop-off. The game sums up the middle of that loop as "drag every item in, turn it, tip it, wrap the fragile ones, fill the gaps, tape it shut and stamp it right" — and the verified finishing step is carrying the finished parcel to the dispatch drop-off, where cash arriving right after the drop is your visible sign that it shipped.
Each piece of furniture in your depot has a distinct job: the printer issues customer orders, the packing table is where the box gets built up, and the dispatch drop-off is where the parcel leaves your hands for shipping.
The order-to-shipment loop at a glance
Every ordinary shipment follows the same sequence:
- Grab an order from the printer. A customer is tied to it — your first tutorial customer is already waiting up front when the company opens.
- Pick a box sized to the order and carry it to the packing table.
- Tape the bottom of the empty box before anything goes in.
- Drag every item in, turning, tipping, flipping or rotating pieces until they fit.
- Wrap fragile items in bubble wrap.
- Fill the gaps so the contents sit snug.
- Close the box and tape the seam shut.
- Add the shipping label and the stamps that match the contents.
- Carry the parcel to the dispatch drop-off — the hand-over that ships it. Cash arriving right after the drop confirms it.
Putting items into the box and checking the fit
Start at the printer: taking an order there is what creates a packable job, and later orders arrive one at a time, so you always know which customer you're packing for. Then choose a box. In the recorded runs, a "medium" box went to a big-scale customer and "the small one" to the following order — box sizes beyond the small and medium seen in play aren't covered here, so match what the order visibly needs.
One preparation step is easy to miss: tape the bottom of the empty box first. The recorded player skipped it on one order, noticed, and repeated "tape the bottom" out loud on every order afterward.
Loading is physical placement with orientation. Drag each item in, then turn, tip, flip or rotate it until it sits inside the box. One playthrough narrates a dedicated rotate control for exactly this. As for buttons: a single PC run names Space for closing/placing and F for wrapping — treat those as PC hints and follow the on-screen prompts on your own device, since the game also runs on phones and tablets where this run's prompts weren't captured. If you want the fitting tricks in depth, the rotate items guide covers them.
Protecting, sealing and finishing the parcel
With everything inside, protect it: wrap fragile items in bubble wrap (the wrap fragile items guide goes deeper), then fill the remaining gaps so the contents can't shift. A snug pack is also what the game rewards — but that's an optimization, covered below.
Now close it up: shut the box and tape the seam. Finally, mark it. Slap on the shipping label (a "Standard" label appears in play) and add the stamps that match what's actually inside — in the recordings, a cup earned the dry stamp, fragile-and-heavy contents got both the fragile and heavy stamps, and the stamps seen in play include standard, fragile, heavy and dry/liquid. The tape and stamp box guide covers this finishing stage in detail.
The dispatch drop-off: how you know it shipped
Pick up the finished parcel, carry it to the dispatch drop-off, and drop it there. That hand-over is what ships it. The confirmation is immediate and visible: money lands right after the drop — in one recorded run, about 400 cash appeared straight after the drop-off (a single observation, not a standard payout). That fits the game's billing premise that the bank takes 30% of everything you ship, and delivering fast adds big tips on top. There's no confirmation screen to wait for in the documented flow — if the cash moved, the drop registered.
What to do if the parcel won't come together
Most snags happen before the drop-off, and each has a direct fix:
- Items won't fit? Rotate, flip or tip them into a better orientation before reaching for a bigger box — and next order, weigh whether the order actually calls for the larger size.
- Forgot the bottom tape? Just tape it and carry on; the recorded player recovered from exactly this mid-stream.
- Stalled at the drop-off? Make sure you're standing at the dispatch point itself — the hand-over happens there, not at the packing table.
The recordings don't show a rejected-parcel state, so if your box is sealed, stamped and dropped at dispatch, treat the arriving cash as the finish line.
Where the specialized packing techniques live
This page is the full loop; several pay-raising layers sit on top of it and get their own guides:
- Box-size and pack-density optimization. A smaller box with a snug, "perfect" pack earns bonus cash — the best box size guide covers the math.
- Special cargo. Sorting for glass and heavy loads, and building habitats for live pets in their own carriers, are handled in the live pet shipments and special cargo guides.
- Rare orders. Luck brings legendary orders with star items — see the legendary orders guide.
- Delivery speed. Getting the parcel across the city fast is where big tips come from; that side of the job lives in the how to ship parcels guide.
For the surrounding systems — reading orders, your first day, and growing the cash the bank doesn't take — start with the orders guide, the beginner start page, and the how to make money guide. Otherwise: printer, box, tape, pack, stamp, dispatch — your first shipped parcel is nine steps away.
